The 1975 Live-Debuts 'Me And You Together Song' In New Zealand

A little over 10 days since first releasing the new single, The 1975 treated the 12,000+ fans attending New Zealand's Laneway Festival 2020 with the live-debut of “Me And You Together Song.”

The band closed out this year's festival and did not disappoint. “How you feelin' baby?” frontman Matty Healy yelled to the crowd before starting the first verse. Despite being the first time the band played “Me And You Together Song” in front of a crowd, Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel executed the performance brilliantly.

A fan combined concert footage from multiple people in attendance at the festival for a truly unique video that shows the performance from a couple different angles. Plus, the YouTuber managed to layer over the stage audio for a crisp clean sound that sounds like the studio recording.

The 1975 has promised that it will be dropping a few more songs before it's new album, Notes on a Conditional Form, is released on April 24. “There's another song that comes out in February and another song comes out in March and another song comes out just before the record,” Healy told fans in an Instagram live.

The band originally debuted the single on a UK radio show, but this is the first time they've actually played it in front of an audience. If watching the live footage is giving you FOMO, the band will be heading out on tour later this year with Phoebe Bridgers and beabadoobee.
