Champaign County Historical Museum

The Champaign County Historical Society and locally-owned and operated Freshwater Farms of Ohio, will co-host an evening of antique appraisals patterned after the PBS series, Antiques Roadshow©, from 6 to 9p.m., April 25th, at the museum, 809 East Lawn Ave., Urbana.

Admission is $20 per person, $25 at the door, and entitles the ticketholder to an appraisal of one antique in any of the categories: general antiques, collectibles, Native American artifacts, militaria, mechanical music makers, office equipment, and business machines.

Tickets are available online and at Champaign County banks; Civista, First Central National, Peoples, Perpetual, and all the Security locations in Champaign County.

The museum receives no public monies and has been staffed by volunteers from its founding in 1934. Expenses are met by donations, memberships, and proceeds from the society’s annual Oktoberfest, which for nearly 50 years has offered unique and handmade crafts, clothing, fine and functional arts, herbs, flowers, and garden produce from colorful booths on the museum lawn. Oktoberfest 2019 is scheduled for 10a.m. to 4p.m. on Sunday, October 6th.
