A 22-year-old economics student in Germany won 10,000 euro, which is about $13,500, from Apple on Wednesday (February 6th) for having the 25 billionth download from the iTunes music store, just shy of a decade from its April 2003 debut. Phillip Luepke of Hanover told Reuters he downloaded the techno song "Monkey Drums (Goksel Vancin Remix)" by British DJ Chase Buch on Sunday evening (February 3rd) after hearing the song at a club the night before and using the smartphone app Shazam to look up its name.
