Alice In Chains will kick off a month-long North American tour on April 25th in Miami Beach, marking the band's first full live outing in well over two years. According to Loudwire, the trek will feature stops at three of the spring's biggest festivals, Carolina Rebellion, Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma, making them the first act to be officially confirmed for all three events.

The tour news comes as the band is starting to prepare for the release of its fifth studio album. The yet-to-be-titled disc is due out sometime in the first half of this year and follows 2009's Black Gives Way To Blue, which ended a 14-year recording hiatus for Alice In Chains and was the first band effort to feature singer/guitarist William DuVall.

  • We asked DuVall not long ago what the band's current career resurgence -- which began back in 2006 with a series of live shows -- has meant to him and the other members: "It's been a challenge to all of us as individuals and as a group to come together and rise to this occasion. I mean, it's required a tremendous amount, I think, of personal growth on (the) part of all four of us, and that is still a work in progress. It's been a hell of a ride, man (laughs), you know, like a real interesting rollercoaster."
  • Alice In Chains recently unveiled a music video for "Hollow," the first song to be heard from the upcoming album.
