Additional police photos released of Kurt Cobain's death scene offer a chilling visual of the late Nirvana frontman's final moments.  One of two close-ups obtained by the New York Daily News show the singer's arm with a hospital ID bracelet on his wrist.

A second shows a box of shotgun shells next to his foot in white socks and a black Converse sneaker.

The Seattle Police Department released the photos Thursday.  They're part of a collection of recently-developed photos from the scene released ahead of the 20th anniversary of Cobain's suicide death on April 5th, 1994.

The medical examiner's office says Cobain's body was discovered three days after the singer shot himself.  A suicide note was found nearby.  Cobain's band Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next week.
